Breeds unrecognized FCI
When I began to be interested in breeds, unrecognized FTsI, I realized that, in essence, breeds not recognized by FTsI are MORE than recognized ones. Virtually every country in the world (except the most backward) has its own breeds, long established and traditionally bred in these countries. Many of the breeds recognized by the FCI have their unrecognized “twin” breeds — closely related and very similar phenotypically.

Pit bull and pit bull terrier: is there a difference?
As mentioned above, the name of the breed “pit bull terrier” can have abbreviated variants: “pit bull” or “pit.” Therefore, there is no difference between the pit bull and the pit bull terrier – it’s the same thing.
It is important to know: Professional dog handlers and breeders of these dogs claim that representatives of this breed cannot be called pit bulls, as this word is translated as “fighting bull”, and this is considered wrong. Therefore, in the professional circles of the dogs of this breed you need to call only pit bull terriers. Continue reading
