· Bull terriers are not directly related to pit bull terriers, although these breeds originated from some ancestors.
· The average life expectancy of the Bull Terrier is 11-14 years, but the record holder in this breed, nicknamed Puppa Tru, is known, who lived to be 17 years old.
· Bull terriers are called “dog-pig” in many countries. Africans call this breed the Barkhond, which means pig-dog. It is believed that such breed names deserve the similarity of the muzzle with a pig, but it is more likely that the name happened because the Bull Terriers were originally bred for hunting wild boars and pigs in South Africa.
· Only the Bull Terrier has unique eyes that are officially recognized as triangular.

· In the 50s of the 20th century, the famous dog breeder James Hinks from Birmingham crossed Dalmatian, White English Terrier and English Bulldog by breeding white Bull Terriers that were smaller and more elegant than their ancestors. This is exactly the Bull Terrier we know today.
